It’s hard to believe that Jason & Lyra Statts have been away from home for 6 months now. They have made so much progress in that time, overcome such tragedy. Their home is currently being modified to make it accessible for Jason’s wheelchair. We have plenty of wonderful people who are working on the project and many who have donated numerous appliances and fixtures. One thing we are lacking is enough money to purchase the remaining materials to finish the job. Our goal is $5,000 to finally get Jason & Lyra back home and back to their life in Savannah, GA.
To all those who have donated; Jason, Lyra, Dave and all of their families would like to thank you so much. Your support, thoughts and prayers have made such a huge difference for them during this horrible event.
Thank you,
John Collenberger

Thanks to all of you who have donated. I am happy to announce that both suspects, Ashamir Johnson and Desmond Hunter, are now in police custody. Both families are relieved that these young men are off the streets. We will be updating the media page to include the videos of local media covering the story. More updates soon.
On Saturday, June 28th, at around 3:00 a.m., Jason Statts and Dave Williams were needlessly shot while arriving at a friend’s house on East 48th Street. They had just finished playing their first show as Sürt {the destroyer} at the Live Wire on River Street. A single bullet went through Jason’s neck and lodged in Dave’s neck. Their injuries are very serious and both guys have a long and painful recovery ahead of them.
The purpose of this website is to raise money to assist with expenses incurred during Jason’s and Dave’s recovery process. Due to the nature of their injuries and the continued care they will need for the foreseeable future, their bills will add up quickly and overwhelmingly. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated and will help ease the financial burden facing both families. This was a senseless, violent act; the attackers didn’t even rob either victim. The fact that it happened on a quiet, tree-lined street in Ardsley Park makes it even more unbelievable. Please give whatever you can.

Lyra Statts and Daves sister Kat are regularly posting updates on their Myspace pages.
Here is video of our performance that night. Dave Williams is on the left and Jason Statts is on the right.
Thank you,
John Collenberger (Drummer, Sürt {the destroyer})
